Good Neighbors International (GNI) Nepal is an INGO working in Nepal since 2002 with the objective of imporving lives of peope, especially children through education, income generating activities, health services, WASH, advocacy, network building and disacter risk reduction. GNI Nepal invites application for following positions.



Position: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Coordinator
Location: Doti District
Application deadline: 1st July 2016
Starting Date: 1st August 2016
Duration Contract: One year with the possibility of extension
Gross Salary: NRs. 1,012,500/annum (commensurate upon qualification and experience)

Job Specification:

  • Master degree in relevant field with three years of experience in humanitarian and/or development organization in designing, implementing and overseeing monitoring and evaluations task.
  • Strong statistical skills including knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Experience in conducting impact studies including tool design, data analysis, innovative reporting and documenting best practices for organizational learning.
  • Experience of developing result framework including experience in developing M&E systems.
  • Experience of quantitative and qualitative data collection/survey design, implementation and analysis.
  • Strong participatory management and supervision skills including interpersonal, communications, training and facilitation skills.
  • Work experience in the Far West Development Region of Nepal would be an asset.
  • Good knowledge of the English language along with writing and communication skills.


Position: Admin Finance Officer (AFO)
Location: Doti District

Duration Contract: One year with the possibility of extension
Gross Salary: NRs. 818,400/annum (commensurate upon qualification and experience)

Job Specification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting with three years of experience in relevant field.
  • Proven experience in administering project accounts.
  • Good computer skills including spread sheets and database.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Hands on experience of FAMAS is preferred.
  • Work experience in the Far West Development Region of Nepal would be an asset.
  • Good knowledge of the English language along with writing and communication skills.


Position: Advocacy Coordinator
Location: Nuwakot District

Starting Date: 1st August 2016
Duration Contract: One year with the possibility of extension
Gross Salary: NRs. 1,012,500/annum (commensurate upon qualification and experience)

Job Specification:

  • University degree in related field with 2-3 years’ experience in advocacy, policy development, SRH promotional materials development, implementation and
    evaluation of Sexual and Reproductive Health Right.
  • Clear understanding of reproductive health related issues at local level.
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, plan and manage events such as meeting, workshop, conferences and seminar as well as transfer knowledge and skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills – articulate and diplomatic. Ability to interact with diverse groups and to communicate effectively with officials, and a demonstrated ability to consult, influence and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluent in writing and speaking English and Nepali.
  • Flexible to work under pressure.
  • Able to work in a team.


Position: Psychosocial Counselor
Location: Nuwakot District

Starting Date: 1st August 2016
Duration Contract: One year with the possibility of extension
Gross Salary: NRs. 818,400/annum (commensurate upon qualification and experience)

Job Specification:

  • Bachelor degree in mental health, psychiatry, counseling or related field with minimum three years of professional experience in mental health and psychosocial support, especially experience in post crises care and treatment, mental health, cross cultural communications, counselling, training and related areas.
  • Expertise in mental health and psychosocial support after crises.
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, plan and manage events such as meeting, workshop, conferences and seminar as well as transfer knowledge and skills.
  • Fluent in writing and speaking English and Nepali.
  • Good coordination and network building skills.
  • Flexible to work under pressure.
  • Able to work in a team.
  • Good knowledge and skills on Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT and etc).
