Vacancy At Care Nepal Posted on January 22, 2017

Vacancy Announcement
CARE Nepal hereby invites applications from interested Nepalese candidates for the following positions:

1. Administrative Assistant – Hariyo Ban Program (based in Pokhara – SHORT TERM POSITION)
Key responsibilities:
The incumbent will assist in the Finance & Administrative duties and provide logistic support to maintain adequate facility for Hariyo Ban Program and its projects to upkeep utilities and maintenance. S/he will ensure inventory and stock items are timely dispatched to the project sites with close coordination with Procurement, Vehicle, Inventory and the IT unit of CARE Nepal Central Office. The incumbent will also liaise with relevant Government authorities for the smooth functioning of the project.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Intermediate with preferably 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position with a proven ability to handle national and international correspondence.

2. M&E Officer – Hariyo Ban Program (based in Pokhara)
Key responsibilities:
The M&E Officer is primarily responsible for maintaining and updating the database system, preparing half yearly and annual performance reports in close coordination with the program units and field offices. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting field team to implement HB annual plan including monitoring and evaluation plan. S/he will carry out adequate field monitoring to ensure that the program interventions are implemented as per program development qualities, set indicators and targets.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in one of the disciplines in Forestry, Agriculture, Environmental Science and Natural Resource Management with at least 3 years of working experience in Monitoring and Evaluation of particularly in forestry, climate change adaptation, disaster reduction and/or watershed management project

3. Advocacy and Communications Manager (based in Kathmandu)
Key responsibilities:
This role is responsible for leading the advocacy and communication initiatives of CARE Nepal Country office and providing leadership in these areas to the rest of the organisation. The incumbent will strengthen CARE Nepal’s internal and external communications, support staff and partners in developing programme-related communication and advocacy initiatives, and manage the publication of important promotional materials related to CARE Nepal. The role is required to lead on the preparation and production of CARE Nepal’s communication materials as welll as provide support to CARE Nepal’s Senior Management Team in liaison, co-ordination and reputation management with our partners, other I/NGOs, civil society networks, government stakeholders, journalists and media organizations.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Master’s degree in media, communications, advocacy, sociology or other relevant field with a minimum of five years experience in relevant field of work, e.g. communication, journalism, information management, public relations, media, advocacy
