Position: Legal Support
Tenure: Maximum for 6 months (Contract Basis)

Scope of work:
> Review and ensure that contracts and agreements are in legal compliance with all the statutory requirements.
> Support the legal team to highlight all relevant legal provisions of Nepal in all contractual areas of Ncell.
> Provide legal assistance to understand and fully adhere to the company’s values and code of conduct.
> Draft and review legal documents on behalf of the company as well as letters related to contracted parties, and verify the correspondence with them.
> Liaise with relevant departments, to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action to be taken.
> Develop and review various contractual templates as per the need of the company.
> Provide consultations, counselling, and references on legal issues of the company.
> Participate in the work out and development of drafts, negotiation of contracts/agreements; regulating commercial relations with organizations as well as draft orders, instructions and letters regulating the company’s internal activity pursuant to current legislation.
> Work out and prepare contracts (drafting new contacts, amending existing contracts, bringing contract provisions in line with legislative requirements, maintaining correspondence related to contract terms and conditions). Also participate in resolution of disputes related to contract execution and counterparties’ performance thereunder.

Your qualification and experience:
> Bachelor’s Degree in Law
> Minimum 2 years of experience in the corporate and commercial, legal field of jurisprudence with special focus on drafting/negotiation of contracts.
> Fluency in spoken and written English and Nepali languages.

> Should be highly motivated and self-directed.
> Should have good knowledge of contract management and judiciary functions and bodies.
> Should heave good knowledge and understanding of legislative and other normative Acts of Nepal as well as current legislative practices.
> Should have good planning and negotiation skills.
> Should have multitasking ability.
> Should be deadline and result oriented.
> Be computer-savvy and well-versed in Microsoft Office package.
> Should have proficient typing and analytical skills.

Duty Station
Current requirement is in Kathmandu but it can be anywhere in Nepal as per business needs and future requirements.
